Three institutions with inclusive education to benefit from support

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/- Three institutions with inclusive education in the country will benefit from support for purchasing the necessary materials for the proper functioning of institutions and facilitating the integration of children with special educational needs in the social environment.
The initiative was launched in March by Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, who appealed to MPs and parliament employees to get involved in collecting funds for the charity campaign organized on Easter holidays, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Beneficiary institutions were selected with the support of the Step by Step educational programme, which for over 20 years promotes inclusive education projects that promote the integration of children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Earlier, at the initiative of Candu, an information and discussion campaign has been organized with the MPs for people with special abilities in collaboration with Orhei Boarding House, Motivation Association, Municipal Child Protection Directorate, Phoenix Centre, Rascani.
The Moldovan parliament promotes a policy of inclusion and equal opportunities in employment, and providing access for all visitors. The building is equipped with access ramps and bathrooms.
Also, in 2016-2018 during the charity campaigns organized by the parliament, donations of over 250,000 lei had been made. In addition, Easter fairs were organized with the participation of people from socially vulnerable families and people with special needs. The speaker has sponsored an edition of Hospice Angelus Charity Ball, organized in partnership with the Royal House of Romania a charity action for the reconstruction of the concert hall of the Ciprian Porumbescu high school.
