Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan capital this year will be decorated on the occasion of the Easter holidays, with the financial support of an investor. The acting general mayor of Chisinau, Silvia Radu, today made statements to this effect.
The mayor noted that the Easter decorations would be placed on the square of the Birth of God Cathedral starting from 7 April. “They are modern and will delight children and adults. In the last years, we had too much expensive decorations and I think they were not so beautiful. This year, we ruled to no longer use public money and pay twice as much,” Silvia Radu wrote on a social network.
“Nevertheless, with the help of a private investor who loves Chisinau, we will set superb decorations, in order to enhance the beauty of the Easter holidays. Thank you for involvement and the nice gesture!” the mayor said.
Earlier this week, the acting mayor of Chisinau informed that the centre of the Moldovan capital would not be decorated, as the decorations would be too expensive.
At the same time, Easter Fairs are organized in the park of the square of the Birth of God Cathedral and in all the districts of Chisinau on 4-7 April.
