Moldovan bank gets new member of management committee

Chisinau, 06 April /MOLDPRES/ – Head of compliance department of BC Moldova Agroindbank S.A., Stela Recean, was appointed vice – chairman of management committee of the bank, its candidacy being approved by National Bank of Moldova (BNM).

"Stela Recean is a valuable member of Moldova Agroindbank, which is sure to make a significant contribution to the development of MAIB. She set up the Compliance Department to ensure MAIB's compliance with the highest standards of corporate governance, as well as increased security in the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, in line with the most current rigor, "the chairman of the Board of Management MAIB, Sergei Cebotari.

Stela Recean has a high degree in economics and a vast banking experience, including an economist at BNM in department of banking supervision and regulation. For 13 years, Stela Recean has been working in the field of financial audit at one of the world's largest audit and consulting firms, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and is a licensed auditor.

She is a member of Association of Chartered Accountants and Authorized Accountants of the United Kingdom (ACCA, UK) and member of the Association of Certified Specialists in Money Laundering Prevention (ACAMS, USA)

She joined MAIB's team as Chief of the Compliance Department in 2014.
