Themes on improving legislation of healthcare, safety at work discussed by government of Moldova

Chisinau, 06 April /MOLDPRES/ – The members of National Commission for Collective Bargaining and Negotiation met on 05 April at government meeting. The agenda of talks included topics aimed at improving national legislation in field of safety at work and healthcare, as well as on employment dimension, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
At the meeting, the Ministry of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection (MSMPS) presented the Report on implementation of national action plan for 2017 on implementation of National Employment Strategy for 2017 – 2021.
The meeting discussed some aspects of reform of state control system on labour relations segment and responsibilities of authorities on it. In this context, social dialogue partners reiterated the need to complete reform, as well as continue training of employees of bodies with control functions.
The Commission Secretariat presented new composition of 14 committees for collective bargaining and negotiation that are active at branch level, changes being necessary as a result of merging of several ministries. At their part, members of the National Commission welcomed resumption of activity of those platforms, mentioning importance of developing social dialogue at the level of branches of national economy.
The National Commission for Collective Bargaining and Consultation has an advisory role in elaboration of social and economic strategies and policies in Moldova.
