Bomb alert at commercial bank today

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/- Employees of a commercial bank in the centre of the capital were evacuated today, due to a bomb alert.

Chisinau Police press officer Natalia Stati said that at 11:10 a man called the police and announced that inside the building there would be an explosive object.

“The commercial bank is located on the Stefan cel Mare Boulevard in downtown. Policemen and sapper teams were on the spot. All employees of the institution were evacuated. The commercial bank’s perimeter was restricted. At present, the law enforcers are checking the building,” Stati said.

Yesterday, the bomb alert was at the Chisinau Court, Centre headquarters. Following the checks, the alert proved to be false.
