Moldovan PM attends Health Awards Gala

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister attended the health awards ceremony held on 11 April, organized on the occasion of the World Health Day. During the event, 11 people were awarded for remarkable achievements and contribution to the development of healthcare system in Moldova, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

In his speech, the premier expressed gratitude for the work of the health system employees, noting that each doctor has an unequal responsibility in exercising this noble profession. “I admire your daily dedication and commitment to be advanced medical workers and I appreciate your work for our citizens to benefit from the highest quality medical services,” he said.

Filip said that the government team will continue efforts to strengthen the health system and relies on the involvement of the whole society to change things for the benefit of patients and physicians.

“I assure you we are aware of all the problems in your work. Our goal is shared by you by promoting reforms to offer quality medical services, comfortable working conditions and a salary you deserve,” he said.

Over 50 applications were submitted to the fifth issue of the Health Awards Gala, with 11 laureates, one for each section. The participants competed in categories such as the best team of the family doctor, most active NGO in the field, best management of the medical institution and best journalist in health.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection in partnership with the World Health Organisation Office in Moldova, National Health Insurance Company and Centre for Information and Communication in Health.
