Moldovan government continues to improve regulatory environment for entrepreneurial activity

Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/- The government today approved the action plan on implementation in 2018-2020 of the reform strategy for entrepreneurship for 2013-2020. The planned measures will ensure a more favorable environment for economic agents in the country, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The plan sees further optimization of the regulatory framework and administrative procedures. In taxation and customs, the online registration of independent activity will be implemented in the State Tax Service Information System, as well as the taxpayer’s unique payment account. There will also be simplified and standardized procedures for customs clearance of goods, a new Customs Code will be worked out, implemented the single window at the border and the computerized transit system.
In the area of permits, the opening of single windows in the regions of the country is planned to facilitate entrepreneurs’ access to the necessary services. The document also provides for continued reform of state control, including the reorganization of the state register of controls, so that business control activities are planned and monitored at central level.
Also, actions are set for the implementation of the medium-term programme for the elaboration of town-planning plans at the level of localities for 2017-2020 and ensuring free access to technical norms in construction.
Other measures aim to improve communication with representatives of the business community and civil society and their involvement in elaborating reforms in the field.
The strategy is guided by three basic general objectives: developing a facilitator regulatory system, developing incentives for effective implementation of reforms and improving communication and encouraging participation in reforms.
