Over 600 rescuers, firefighters to provide fire safety during Memorial Easter in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/ – Over 600 rescuers and firefighters will ensure fire safety during Memorial Easter.

The press officer of general inspectorate for emergency situations (IGSU), Liliana Puscasu, told agency that 200 vehicle would be involved into it.

"The employees of IGSU will monitor fire condition and act to eliminate exceptional situations. During this period, near cemetery Sf. Lazar in Chisinau, an intervention vehicle will be ready to intervene in case of fires. Similarly, mobile groups formed by employees of Inspectorate will be present around cemeteries throughout Moldova to prevent risk situations," said Puscasu.

As to avoid fires, firefighters urge persons to avoid firing dry vegetation, which can cause large outbreaks. Similarly, rescuers recommend persons to be careful with lit candles and not leave out of sight.

In case of risk situations, citizens are urged to call for emergency number 112.

Memorial Easter is celebrated on 15 – 16 Aprilie 2018.
