Over 110,000 people cross state border during holidays

Chisinau, 17 April /MOLDPRES/- Over 110,000 people crossed the state border during Memorial Easter holiday, 15-16 April.

Border Police press officer Olesea Dunas said that on 15 April the state border was crossed by over 61,000 people.

“About 31,000 citizens have entered the country, and about 30,000 people recorded in the exit direction. Almost 30,000 were foreign citizens,” the quoted source said.

At the same time, on 16 April almost 50,000 crossings were recorded at the border of Moldova. “Of these, about 25,000 were Moldovan citizens. These days, the most requested crossing points were: Leușeni, Chisinau International Airport, Sculeni, Otaci, Giurgiulești-Galați, Palanca, Cahul, Criva and Costești”, Dunas said.

Also, the busiest day of last week was on Saturday, with a flow of more than 68,000 crossings.
