Working groups for developing road transport, roads' infrastructure hold meeting at Chisinau-based OSCE Mission

Chisinau, 18 April /MOLDPRES/ – The working groups for development of road transport and road infrastructure met today at the headquarters of OSCE Mission in Chisinau. The meeting was attended by political representatives in the process of negotiations for Transnistrian settlement of Chisinau and Tiraspol, Cristina Lesnic and Vitalii Ignatiev, and international partners within negotiation format 5+2.

According to the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service, parties continued discussions on possible ways of providing access to international road traffic for vehicles in Transnistrian region, pointing to the need to ensure viability of mechanism in order to comply with international law, but also in order to solve in a fair way difficulties encountered by inhabitants of both banks of the Dniester in realisation of right to free movement.

The consultations on the theme will continue at next meeting of the working group on te development of road transport and road infrastructure that will take place in upcoming future.
