Deputy premier meets head of OSCE Mission to Moldova

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic today met Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan. Attending the event were also representatives of the Moldovan delegation to the Joint Control Commission and experts from the OSCE Mission, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.

According to the already existing tradition, in this format, the situation in the Security Zone is approached each month, with an exchange of information and opinions on the developments in the reference period, the measures taken by the actors involved and the actions required to be taken in order to maintain stability in the territorial area of activity of peacekeeping forces.

The sides also addressed the issues related to the functionality of the bridge between the localities of Gura Bacului-Bacioc and ensuring the free movement on this infrastructure. They agreed on the need to monitor all processes objectively, to meet the commitments by the protocol decision of 3 November 2017 and to avoid unilateral approach able to create artificial barriers and irrational tensions.
