Working subgroups for banking issues from two banks of Dniester resume activity after five-year break

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/ - A meeting of the working subgroups for banking issues of the working groups for economy took place at the Tiraspol-based headquarters of the OSCE Mission in Moldova. Attending the event were representatives in the five-plus-two format of talks, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
Given the new composition of experts from both sides, the concerned meeting was one of knowledge, planning the activities for the next meetings and of including on the agenda the subjects proposed by Chisinau and Tiraspol representatives.
The sides welcomed the re-launch of the activity of this working subgroup after a break of more years and voiced willingness to consider and identify solutions to current problems in the financial and banking sector.
The Moldovan side set forth its vision on the way of interacting in the financial and banking field, noted the innovations made to the national normative framework and the international exigencies to which it was adjusted. It also proposed assistance in the process of replication of universally accepted norms also on the left bank of Dniester.
For its part, the Transnistrian delegation showed interest in the aspects proposed, noting that it would examine them and would give opinions on them in the near future.
The next meeting of the working subgroups for banking issues will be held in Chisinau.
The last meeting of this subgroup took place on 14 October 2012.
