Nice weather, with no precipitation expected in Moldova on days to come

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/ - The rains much expected by farmers are possible all over Moldova in early next week.   

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS), air temperatures specific for the period will maintain on the days to come. Thus, the air temperature is to oscillate between +20 and +25 degrees during the day and between +6 and +11 degrees at night till 24 April.  

Starting from 24 April, the weather will cool, with rains and variable could expected all over Moldova. The weather will be cooler in north Moldova, where the maximum air temperatures will be of +21 degrees during the day and +9 degrees at night. Short rains are expected in northern Moldova till the end of the next week, which is not valid also for the southern region.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, a head of department at the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry, Vasile Sarban, said that, in general, the precipitation come too late. “We have already drought in Moldova, which considerably harms the farmers. And weather forecasts show a more complicated situation for the southern region, where less rains are expected,” the specialist noted.    

According to SHS sources, a similar state of things was recorded also in April 2016. The then situation made also necessary the announcing of a Yellow and Orange Code of hydrological drought.
