Fifth issue of Flowers' Parade held in south Moldova town

Chisinau, 22 April /MOLDPRES/ - Tens of horticultural producers from various Moldovan districts today participate in the fifth issue of an exhibition and fair Flowers’ Parade, held in the southern Cimislia town. Over 3,000 visitors are scheduled to come to the exhibition. The event is organized by the Cimislia district council and has already become traditional not only in southern Moldova, but also nationally.   

‘’The Flowers’ Parade Festival, which has already become a visiting card of the Cimislia district, is dedicated to the promotion of the horticultural sector. We want to have as many as possible people fond of flowers, decorative trees and bushes, of processing seed material, all this contributing to the development of the floriculture not only in the Southern Region, but throughout the country. More settlements of the world have become famous namely for the fact that they are hosts of flowers exhibitions. We hope that this will also be the case for the Cimislia district,’’ the head of the Cimislia district, Iovu Bivol, said.  

According to the head of the district administration, in 2014, when the first issue of the Flowers’ Parade took place, and so far, the exhibition has made important progress. ‘’We started with neither 20 participants, this year, we have already over 40 specialized firms, which provided their assistance. At the same time, forest enterprises with offers of the last achievements of nurseries of decorative trees and bushes also came to the exhibition from Cimislia. An expected presence is also the participation of horticulturists from Romania, who have showed interesting things to colleagues from the right bank of Prut in the last years,’’ Iovu Bivol said.     

The agenda of the festival, proposed by organizers, includes exhibitions with sales of flowers, decorative trees and bushes, seed material, floral gastronomic products, workmanship exhibitions and exhibitions of goods made by popular craftsmen, equipment for work in gardens with flowers, master-classes for taking care of flowers, topic-related contests, etc.  

All these will be accompanied by concert programmes given by Moldovan artists.
