Moldovan parliament speaker encourages students to starts business, work at home

Chisinau, 25 April /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, at a today’s public lecture, given at the Free International University of Moldova, encouraged students to start businesses and work at home, thus taking advantage of the opportunities provided by the programmes launched in the last years.

According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, Andrian Candu referred to the economy and the importance the governance attaches to developing business and attract investments to Moldova. According to Candu, a good planning and well-established goals is what is important in any activity. “The crisis from 2015 was overcome due to a quite thorough planning of actions. At the same time, for an accelerated development, the parliament and government are focused on the modernization of the education system, consolidation of the rule of law state, ensuring an independent and incorruptible justice, backing the high-value agriculture and the IT sector, as well as investments in infrastructure,” the parliament speaker noted.   

The young people showed interest in learning more about the Chisinau Arena project, also coming up with proposals on future concerts and competitions due to take place following the construction of the first multipurpose hall in Moldova. Also, students wanted to know how they can start a business in Moldova and about those 21 projects on the support and development of business, facilities for starting a business, relations with the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, as well as about the political stability.   

“In a transition country, such as Moldova, the political stability is important, so that the projects underway be carried out; yet, our common goal should be the implementation of systems and promotion of the economy, social, financial sector to a qualitatively new stage, when things will go better and the institutions will work exemplarily, no matter whether we have a government or the negotiations for its formation last,” Andrian Candu said.  

The parliament speaker’s meetings with students fit into a campaign of informing young people about the parliament’s work and encouraging their involvement in the decision-taking process. So far, Andrian Candu has had meetings with students of the Balti-based Alecu Russo University, State University of Moldova and Moldovan Technical University.
