Minimum salary in real sector to increase to 2,610 lei in Moldova

Chisinau, 25 April /MOLDPRES/ - The minimally guaranteed quantum of the salary in the real sector of the economy will increase by 230 lei and will stand at 2,610 lei per month starting from 1 May 2018. The cabinet approved a decision to this effect today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

Thus, the employers from the real sector of the economy will not be able to provide a salary lower than 15.44 lei per hour. Presently, the level of remuneration is 14.09 lei for one hour or 2,380 lei per month.  

The growth is made in line with the law on salary payment, which provides for the annual re-consideration of the salary, depending on the increases of prices and labour productivity nationwide.    

In 2017, the prices grew by 6.6 per cent against the year before and the rate of increase of labour productivity was of three per cent. In these conditions, the salary increase for this year is 9.6 per cent.
