Chisinau, 04 May /MOLDPRES/ – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAIEI) has issued today a press release on preparations of Tiraspol authorities for military parade on occasion of 09 May feast to be attended by military contingent of so – called Russian Operational Group (GOTR).
According to the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service, info on organisation of military parade on 09 May is widely circulated in local press of Moldova's eastern districts.
"MAEIE announces that it disapproves decision and attitude of GOTR military headquarters and appeals to authorities of Russia to refrain from military activities denoting defiant behaviour towards constitutionality of the Republic of Moldova," said the MAEIE's press release.
"The Foreign Ministry draws attention to risks that participation of GOTR in military actions involves in the Transnistrian settlement process and confidence building between the two banks of the Dniester river. Such actions flagrantly undermine sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova. MAEIE reminds that in favour of observance of these principles, leadership of Russia has repeatedly and unequivocally pronounced itself," said the press release issued by ministry.
Within context, MAIEI reiterates position of Moldovan authorities on imperative of withdrawal of Russian military forces and ammunition from territory of Moldova.
