Deputy leader of Democratic Party to be new Moldova's Ambassador to USA

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ - The deputy leader of the Moldovan Democratic Party (PDM), Cristina Balan, has been put forward for the office of Moldova’s Ambassador to the United States. Balan has already received the acceptance of the U.S. Department of State. PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc today made statements to this effect following a weekly meeting of the formation.
According to Plahotniuc, Cristina Balan is a person who knows very well the situation in Moldova, the goals of the governance and the file of the Moldova-United States cooperation.
”I am confident that she will contribute substantively to the development of the relations between our countries and we wish her good success,” the PDM leader said.
Cristina Balan is 40 years of age and has acted as deputy leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova starting from 2017, being in charge of working out the party’s internal and external policies.
