Moldovan Democratic Party says 9 May events meant to get citizens closer, no matter political visions

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) on 9 May will organize activities meant to get Moldovans closer to each other, no matter their political visions, among which also a concert with the participation of Moldovan and foreign artists. PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc today made statements to this effect following a weekly meeting of the party.
According to Plahotniuc, PDM will concomitantly mark the Europe Day and the Victory Day on 9 May. “We must eventually get not to divide ourselves geopolitically or according to other criteria, proceeding just from the happy coincidence that we can concomitantly mark both the Victory Day and the Europe Day,” the PDM leader said.
The Democratic Party of Moldova has earlier said that it would organize more events for 9 May. The events will start on the square of the Birth of God Cathedral. The schedule will continue with a parade of popular customs and a round dance of peace on the Great National Assembly Square. In the evening, the Chisinau residents and the capital’s guests are expected to a concert with the participation of more Moldovan singers and guests from abroad, such Irina Rimes, Blue formation, Delia and the soloist of the Modern Talking band, Thomas Anders.
