Moldovan Democrats' faction in parliament to have new MP

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court today validated the mandate of MP Veaceslav Nedelea, put forward on the lists of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM). He will hold the seat of lawmaker, which remained vacant after the resignation of MP Nicolae Dudoglo.
On 2 May, Dudoglo submitted an application to the parliament, thereby announcing his resignation from the office of lawmaker, as well as from the position of head of the PDM’s regional organization of the Gagauz autonomy.
The Democratic Party of Moldova has earlier issued a press release, thereby demanding that Nicolae Dudoglo give explanations on his involvement in a public association from the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, The New Gagauzia, which had actually become a movement with political goals. In the same communiqué, the PDM management asked the former Democratic MP to choose between the status of PDM member and the one of founder of the public association.
The new MP, Veaceslav Nedelea, is 54 years old and is jurist and historian by profession. Nedelea is member of the PDM National Political Council and manager of the Expo-Business-Chisinau Free Economic Zone.
