National Library inaugurates exhibition dedicated to Moldova's European integration

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition and event titled, European Integration of Moldova, was inaugurated at the National Library (BNRM) today. The event was organized in the context of the Europe Day 2018 in Moldova and the European Cultural Heritage Year.
The event was opened with the signing of the European Union’s Anthem Ode to Joy by two employees of the Library.
In her speech, the BNRM director general, Elena Pintilei, said that the goal of this event was to familiarize the wide public with the policies and priorities of the European Union in Moldova, benefits of the European integration, programmes and opportunities of financing offered by EU and to ensure the visibility of the actions of informing and European communication of Moldova’s National Library and the Pro-European Centre of Services and Communication of BNRM, which facilitates citizens’ access to the European information.
According to Pintilei, the exhibition comprises a string of documents and publications on the development of the relations and cooperation of Moldova with EU.
‘’During the year, the National Library managed to implement European propjects, as well as to sign a string of agreements on partnership with more libraries from the European area: Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and other countries,’’ Elena Pintilei noted.
Attending the event, a manager of projects on education and culture at the Delegation of the European Union in Chisinau, Fabien Schaeffer, reviewed more achievements of the European Union’s countries and invited citizens to participate in actions from the European Town, due in the Stefan cel Mare public garden in the next week-end.
The exhibition will be open till 31 May.
