Prestigious international magazine nominates commercial bank as best bank of Moldova

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ - A prestigious international magazine, Global Banking & Finance Review, has nominated Moldova Agroindbank (MAIB) as The Best Bank of Moldova in 2018. The title was reconfirmed shortly after the influential magazine Global Finance had awarded the same title to the leader of the Moldovan banking market.

The assessment was carried out based on the opinions of the experts of the magazine Global Banking & Finance Review, independent professionals, as well of readers. For final conclusions, the jury took into account the banks’ performance indexes, including assets, loans, deposits, distribution network, diversity and accessibility of products and services.  

‘’We are proud of the fact that Moldova Agroindbank got this prestigious  distinction for the sixth year in a row. This fact is meant to confirm the firm positioning of the institution as incontestable leader of the banking market from Moldova, sustainability of the processes carried out by the bank, MAIB’s importance for the country’s economic development, as well as the confidence of partners in the bank which I have the honour to lead,’’ Chairman of the bank’s Management Board Serghei Cebotari has said.  

Moldova Agroindbank is the leader of the national banking system, with a market share of about 30 per cent in terms of the most important performance indexes. The results recorded by MAIB are due to the vision shared by the entire team, well thought-out development strategy, high performance management, culture of corporate governance consistently implemented, high level of social responsibility.

During those 27 years of work, the bank’s performances were recognized by specialized institutions and publications of international stature, which nominated MAIB as The Best Bank of Moldova.
