Anticorruption action plan in customs sector to be published in Moldova's Official Journal

Chisinau, 10 May /MOLDPRES/ - An anticorruption action plan in the customs sectors for 2018-2020 will be published in Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) on 11 May.

The problems identified and goals due to be achieved in the customs field are unveiled in the document.

Among the problems established, there are: vulnerability of the customs procedures, institutional integrity and behavior of customs economic agents and brokers.

At the same time, among the main goals, there are: strengthening of the staff management system and intolerance to integrity incidents and denunciation of corruption deeds.

Also, the Customs Service is set to develop a system of promoting integrity, which is to provide guarantees to the personnel acting in line with the law and fulfilling its duties honestly, impartially and professionally.

The actions will be monitored and will be reported quarterly.

The document is to be revised annually.
