Moldovan writer launches nine volumes of work

Chisinau, 22 May /MOLDPRES/ – Nine volumes of Traian Vasilacau (Traianus) were launched at the National Library of Moldova (BNM) today.

In his speech, moderator of event, academician Mihai Cimpoi, said that the launch was a special event. "Traianus gathered his entire creation in these volumes. He writes easily and has patriotic sensitivity," said Mihai Cimpoi.

According to writer Dragos Vicol, "The poems of Traianus turn into meteoric prayers". Professor Adrian Ghicov, in turn, said that "these nine volumes, grace, toil and sacrifice of creation so far, build profile of a complex creative individuality."

Coral Chapel Moldova of the National Public Institution Teleradio – Moldova, conducted by Gabriela Tocari, singer Victoria Lungu, pupils and students from various educational institutions, evolved during the event.

The volumes contain 5,400 pages – everything written and edited by author until 2016. Volumes 1 – 7 contain poems, essays, aphorisms, translations, children's poems, pamphlets, texts for songs, etc. Volume 8 includes original creations, unpublished ones. Volume 9 contains 824 pages of chronicles, reviews, ratings, references dedicated to the author, batch and crochetes signed by Romanian artists from all continents. The project was carried out in 2011 by Publishing House "Grafema Libris" in Chisinau. Cover and graphic design – Alexandru Bostan.

Traian Vasilcau (Traianus) was awarded the National Prize in 2016.
