Moldovan cabinet approves new regulation for holding contest of National Prize

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - The contest for National Prize will be more transparent, with clear-cut and distinct stages performed. The cabinet of ministers took a decision to this end at a today’s meeting, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The document describes the spectrum of achievements for which the National Prize is provided. These comprise scientific researches, publications, products, new processes and services with high social and economic potential. Also, the prize will be provided for the application of new technologies, creation products and artistic innovations, for contribution to the development of sport, for innovative approach in settling urgent problems faced by the society.
At the same time, decision-makers establish the content of the file, model of the letter of recommendation for the participation in the contest and of the form of examination of the file submitted.
The contest will take place annually, in five stages, on the period March-August. In 2018, the phases will be held as follows: stage I – in May, stage II– in May and June, stage III – in June, stage IV – in July and the final stage, respectively, will be held in August.
The National Prize consists of a diploma, medal and a money reward worth 100,000 lei. The government annually provided up to ten national prizes, within events dedicated to the Independence Day.
