Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/ - Veterans, persons with war disabilities, as well as internally displaced people from the eastern districts of Moldova, who have received dwellings in those two blocks of flats on the streets N. Milescu Spataru 21/5 and Liviu Deleanu 9/2 from Chisinau, will be able to privatize their apartments. The parliament today approved an amendment to a framework agreement on loan between Moldova and the Council of Europe Development Bank, which sees this fact.
Earlier, the agreement has been stipulating that the privatization of the dwellings from the real estate constructed based on it will be possible after the full reimbursement of the credit accessed, i.e. in 2027 at the earliest. At the same time, according to the law on dwellings, persons living in dwellings liable to privatizations have right to turn them private till 31 May 2021.
The framework agreement sees providing by the Council of Europe Development Bank of a refundable loan worth 4,900,000 euros to Moldova’s government for the construction of dwellings for socially vulnerable categories. Under this agreement, the Chisinau municipal council in 2008 borrowed a loan, re-credited through the Finance Ministry, by which it committed to return a sum of 3,235,560 euros for a period of 20 years, including a period of grace of five years, from which two blocks of flats were built on the streets N. Milescu Spataru 21/5 and Liviu Deleanu 9/2.
