Head of Moldovan parliament's commission for national security, defence, public order resigns

Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/ – MP Roman Botan resigned from position of head of Commission for national security, defence and public order of Parliament, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The announcement was made in plenary meeting today, after debates in Parliament's plenary on draft law amending and supplementing some legislative acts №346 of 09.11.2017, which refers to Act on Identity Documents within National Passport System and Citizenship Act.
Roman Botan has said that his gesture is a protest, noting that he does not want his name to be associated with the bill.
Roman Botan was chief of Commission for national security, defence and public order from 29 July 2016.
