Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - A new Information and Counseling Centre in Business was opened within the North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord) on 24 May. The structure will back the business environment and local authorities of the region and will provide all data on investments opportunities in the zone.
The centre’s goal is launch a platform for the promotion of the economic and investment potential of the North Development Region, which will encourage the creation of jobs in the long run. The Centre’s team will provide consultancy on opportunities of financing and will monitor the dynamic of investments in northern Moldova. At the same time, mayoralties and small- and medium-sized enterprises from northern Moldova will be periodically informed about investors interested in starting business and establishing partnerships with economic agents of the region.
The Information and Counseling Centre in Business was created within a project titled, A New Impetus for Developing Business in Northern Region of Moldova, financed by the Czech Development Agency. The project is implemented by the Czech programme, People in Need Moldova, in partnership with ADR Nord and the Pro Cooperare Regionala (Pro Regional Cooperation) public association.
“Investments have been always made in people in the Northern Region. In this respect, the effort of ADR Nord and the Alecu Russo State University is worth being remarked. The labour force and developing capacities are important aspects, which we should take into account in the context of attracting investments in the region,” the state secretary at the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry, Dorin Andros, has told a news conference.
For his part, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Moldova Zdeněk Krejčí expressed his country’s willingness to further boost the cooperation ties with Moldova. He showed confidence that “the two states can achieve important results in the economic sector, including regionally.”
“We started cooperating in 2011, when the regional development policy in Moldova was at the beginning. Since then, we have benefited from small grants on behalf of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Chisinau. At present, with the support of Czech partners, we implement an important project of doing business in the region, as well as a project by which we will work out the strategy and action plan in the field of regional specialization,” ADR Nord director Vitali Povonschi said.
The project, A New Impetus for Developing Business in Northern Region of Moldova, the budget of which amounts to 550,000 euros, will be implemented till late 2019.
