European film festival launched in Gagauz administrative centre

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - A festival of European culture and film started in Comrat, administrative centre of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, southern Moldova. An improvised movie theatre has been set in open air on the main square of Comrat for holding the event.

The movies scheduled for the festival are to be screened till the end of this week, each evening till 23:00, according to the webpage www.gagauzinfo.md

The festival’s programme includes successful films made by European cinema men on different periods. Among them, there are Pettson and Findus: A Little Nuisance, a Great Friendship (2012, Germany), Tři oříšky pro Popelku” (1974, the Czech Republic), Octav (2017, Romania), Kandidat (2013, Slovakia), etc.

The festival of European culture and film from Comrat is organized by the European Union Delegation in Moldova.
