Moldovagaz joint venture gets record profit in 2017

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/- The Moldovagaz joint venture got a profit of 1,926 billion lei in 2017, up by 1,663 billion compared to the previous year. This record increase was determined by the profit from the financial activity and the operational activity, due to the optimization of company’s management, optimization of expenses and improvement of production indicators. This was noted at a today’s annual general meeting of the company’s shareholders.
The General Assembly decided directing the company’s net profit, got in 2017, to set up the reserve fund and cover the losses of previous years.
The shareholders of the largest enterprise in Moldova considered the financial situation of the company for 2017 and approved the annual reports of Moldovagaz management bodies: Board of Directors, Supervisory Board and Audit Committee.
The gas supplier invested 221.5 million lei last year, and the length of the gas networks increased by 248.5 kilometers. The number of consumers increased by 15,600, reaching about 705 thousand at the end of the year.
Moldovagaz also announces that in 2018 its activity will be streamlined to ensure gas consumers and transit in full volumes to European countries, to improve financial indicators and get operational profit. Also, the company’s activity will be directed to the implementation of the credit-debt management plan and other gas issues.
