International skydiving competition held in Avdarma locality

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/- Nine teams from different countries take part in a parachuting competition, held on 25-27 May in Avdarma, Gagauzia. The event is organized by the local authorities and Moldova Skydiving Federation.
The competition came to the 5th edition. Athletes from Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Russia and others will show their skills, competing for two cups - Avdarma-2018 and East European Cup.
In the competition, 30 young people will be able to jump with parachute from a height of 1,500 meters. According to Ignat Cazmalî, deputy head of Skydiving Federation of Moldova, the participants had meritorious benefits at regional, European and international championships.
“The competition, which has become traditional in the south of the country, aims to develop the spirit of sports competitiveness, and beginner paratroopers have the opportunity to gain experience from renowned athletes,” Ignat Cazmali said.
According to organizers, this year, during the competitions, young people from the locality will be trained by a professional coach, making the first parachute jumping. This year’s training is conducted by Iuri Goreanschi, the instructor of the National Skydiving Federation, and was organized at the Dmitri Celenghir high school in the locality.
