Three NGOs to benefit from grants to implement programmes in active aging

Chisinau, 28 May /MOLDPRES/- Three non-governmental organizations were nominated winners of the Small Grants Programme in the field of active aging.

The contest was attended by 10 non-governmental organizations, which implement projects and initiatives on the promotion of active aging policy at national and regional level. The organizations presented projects aimed at promoting active aging by integrating the elderly people into society, diversifying and expanding social services, improving quality of life and ensuring a decent existence for elderly people.

The examination board decided to award grants to the following public associations: „Adulții” from Anenii Noi, „Interacțiune” from Tiraspol and „Pro Asistență și Dezvoltare Comunitară” from Falesti district.

The contest took place on 3 March-21 May.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection launched the Small Grants Programme, dedicated to supporting and promoting active aging in Moldova in March this year. The project implementation period is seven months, and the total amount is 100,000 lei from the state budget.
