Over 800 pupils to get highest mark ex-officio at school-leaving exams in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/ - About 800 pupils will get the highest mark (10) ex-officio at the school-leaving examination (BAC) in foreign language. The list of candidates has been approved by the Education, Culture and Research Ministry today.
According to the ministry, it is about pupils who passed, during the general education, exams with international recognition for certifying linguistic competences in foreign languages.
Thus, in 2018, 785 pupils will get the mark 10 ex-officio at the examination in foreign language within the school-leaving examination, as compared to 637 pupils in 2017, 460 in 2016 and 229 in 2015.
A total number of 864 marks of 10 will be given to 828 pupils as a result of the accumulation of the marks got at republican Olympiads. Among the pupils mentioned, there are 28 pupils who will get two marks of 10 ex-officio and four pupils due to get three marks of 10 ex-officio.
The school-leaving examinations session 2018 will take place during 5-22 June. About 19,000 candidates have registered for the session, of whom over 3,000 candidates failed to pass exams at previous sessions.
The candidates will take exams at 92 BAC centres, of which 30 ones set in the Chisinau municipality and 62 ones in other settlements of Moldova.
The checking of the examination works will be made on 5-26 June. The results will be posted at BAC centres on 27 June.
