Passport office from Chisinau extends schedule of work for summer period

Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Centru service for the issuance of identity papers from Chisinau will work starting from 7 am during 4 June -24 August.
According to the Public Services Agency (ASP), the change was introduced based on an order by ASP director Sergiu Railean, in order to efficiently manage the large number of applications for the issuance of identity papers in the summer period of the year. Thus, the employees of the Centru service for the issuance of identity papers will serve citizens starting from Monday till Friday, at 7:00-17:00, without dinner break and during 9:00-13:00 in the week-end.
At the same time, to provide Chisinau residents with right to vote with identity papers to participate in the runoff of the local polls, due on 3 June, the employees of the Chisinau-based services for issuance of identity papers will work between 7:00 and 21:00.
Also, during 29 May – 3 June inclusively, citizens will be able to ask for the issuance of the temporary identity card, which will me made free of charge, according to the territorial principle. The people who have already submitted applications for the issuance of the identity card during 18-31 May inclusively, may take the card no matter the term of providing the service demanded and tariff paid.
At the same time, citizens registered at the place of residence or the residence in the territorial radius of Chisinau’s Buiucani district will be served at the service for the issuance of identity papers from the multifunctional centre No 1, placed on the Mihai Viteazu Street, that works in testing regime.
Also, the Public Services Agency informed that 1 June would be day-off for the institution’s employees. Exceptions are the territorial subdivisions of the department for the registration of transport means and auto qualification from the municipalities of Chisinau, Balti, Orhei and Edinet. As for the wage earners with the working schedule starting from Monday till Friday, this day will be recovered on 23 June and those working beginning with Tuesday till Saturday will work on 25 June.
