Austrian conductor covers 1,000 km by motorcycle to participate in festival in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/ – Austrian conductor Friedrich Pfeiffer, which will take part in Classical Outdoors Music Festival DescOPERA, 3rd issue, to be held in the Natural Cultural Reservation Orheiul Vechi, 15 – 17 June, has arrived in Chisinau by motorcycle today.
Friedrich Pfeiffer travelled over 1,000 km, between Vienna and Butuceni, with this means of transport. At entrance to Chisinau, he was met, at bridge in sector Telecentru, by a Moldovan bikers community and headed up to Butuceni.
Interviewed by agency, Friedrich Pfeiffer said that decision to come to Chisinau belonged to him and that he had a beautiful trip. "Everywhere I was greeted with warmth, both in Romania and in Moldova. I am glad that I got well and after I rest, I will start the rehearsals for the festival," said Austrian conductor.
The 3rd issue of the Classical Outdoor Music Festival is organised by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC), in collaboration with the National Opera and Ballet Theatre Maria Biesu and National Philharmonic Serghei Lunchevici and hosted by Eco – Resort Butuceni. The event is supported by strategic partners – United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Swedish Government and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Moldova.
