Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ – A cultural and artistic activity, as well as education and environmental awareness, took place on 30 May in Dendrariu Park in Chisinau municipality. The action was organised by the Municipal Direction for Protection of Children's Rights on the occasion of the International Children's Day.

The event was attended by more than four hundred children from the social services of Directorate. "We aimed at promoting and encouraging young talents, strengthening group and friendship relationships among students attending community centres for children and youth, placement centres, specialised daycare centres and social services," said head of the Directorate municipal authorities for the protection of children's rights, Lucia Caciuc, at the request of agency.

"We wanted young people to assert themselves throughout universal language of music and dance, all of which unfolded in green space, thus also emphasising the need to protect environment. There has always been a close connection between art and nature, and our children have once again demonstrated it," said quoted source.

On 30 May night, Dendrariu Park in Chisinau municipality belonged to children. They danced, sang, enjoyed and played, but they did it eagerly and carefully for chosen place. "It can be said that I started programme of the capital on occasion of the International Children's Day, marked on 01 June. And it is noteworthy that children began to celebrate the growth and development in a friendly and cosy environment, in their own right and in character, surrounded by esteem and respect", concluded head of Municipal Protection Department of children, Lucia Caciuc, quoted by agency.
