Four Moldovan NGOs to implement environment, education activities for young people with Austrian support

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ – Four NGOs from Moldova will implement environmental and education activities for young people with financial support of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) in Moldova.

The four selected NGOs are: Youth Media Centre, National Youth Council in Moldova, Association of Parents with Adult Children with Intellectual Disabilities "The Planet of Charity" and Public Association "Dendrologic Progress".

Alex Karner, head of the ADA Office in Chisinau, said that this programme supports really interesting projects that, to a large extent, reflect the priority of the interventions in Moldova. "We are impatient to make all these beautiful and important activities come true. We wish all partners good luck and great success! We appeal to all NGOs: If you have interesting projects and you need our support, please contact us at any time! The funds are available for 2019," said Alex Karner.

Austrian Ambassador to Moldova, Christine Freilinger, spoke about dedication of selected NGOs, the importance of these projects to the development of Moldova and wished success in implementing the proposed ones.

The Small Grants Programme provides annually financial assistance of up to 10,000 Euros to NGOs registered in the Republic of Moldova in the priority areas of the Austrian Development Agency: Equal Opportunities and Social Inclusion in Education, focused on the labor market and vocational training; Water, the environment and climate change; good governance, the rule of law and peace-building.
