Post-doctoral programmes to be held based on new regulation in Moldova

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ – The decision on approval of the Regulation for organising and carrying out post – doctoral programmes will be published in Official Monitor on 01 June.
The document establishes the proposed normative framework based on updated legislative fundamentals into advanced scientific and applied scientific research adapted to new requirements of research at national and international levels and provides for unitary character of training of higher qualified scientific staff in Moldova.
According to the Regulation, programmes are funded by a project competition, organised by public and private institutions, from external sources, grants, scholarships, as well as from special funds of higher education institutions and organisations within science and innovation, according to provisions of law.
The postdoctoral project includes postdoctoral scholarship, research expenses, mobility expenses, and directing expenses, which will amount to no more than 10 per cent total grant amount. The postdoctoral programmes are completed with public support of doctoral thesis or based on synthesis of published scientific papers.
The title of PhD is confirmed and withdrawn by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research (ANACEC). The programme duration is no more than three years, included within work placement.
The postdoctoral programmes are advanced scientific and applied research programmes, carried out within organisations within research and innovations, authorized by law.
