Joint Control Commission of Moldova identifies solutions for free movement nearby reopened bridge on Dniester river

Chisinau, 07 June /MOLDPRES/ – The Joint Control Commission (CUC) has met in Bender city today, headed by Transnistrian delegation, which focused its work on main subject: actions of CUC and Joint Military Command (CMC) on reopening on 18 November 2017 of bridge near localities Gura Bacului and Bacioc, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
Starting from the results of the Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Transnistrian settlement process within negotiation format "5+2" held in Rome on 29 – 30 May 2018, the Chisinau Delegation urged all CUC peacekeeping format.
In this context, the Moldovan side insists on liquidation of border guards, customs and migration posts installed near the bridge by Transnistrian structures, and proposes monitoring and implementation of process by Peecekeeping Joint Force and Common forces of Police and so – called militia.
There is to state that at this stage, a solution unanimously accepted by parties has not been identified, with some components asking for further consultation.
Also, Commission dismissed Lieutenant Colonel Pavel Tretiakov as military observer from Russia and approved Report of CMC on Situation in Security Zone (ZS).
The next meeting of CUC will take place on 14 June 2018.
