Moldovan speaker participates in second high-level interparliamentary conference - Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine

Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu participates in the second high-level interparliamentary conference- Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: Strengthening the interparliamentary component of regional and security cooperation through the development of cooperation with the EU and NATO, held in Kiev on 8-10 June.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, a document will be signed at the meeting that will create Parliamentary Assembly Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine. The mandate for signing the document was given to Candu through a decision by the standing bureau. The speaker is accompanied by chairwoman of the commission on foreign policy and European integration Violeta Ivanov and the head of the friendship group with Ukraine, Eugeniu Nichiforciuc.
The first high-level interparliamentary conference between Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine took place on 2 March in Chisinau, when the three parliament speakers pledged to unite their efforts to promote common defense and security policies.
The Chisinau Conference was organized in partnership with the Atlantic Council and debated issues related to information security, energy, defense, as well as stable economic growth and the rule of law in the region. The event gathered around 150 high-level officials and experts, including speakers, MEPs, US Congress representatives, notable international and regional experts.
