Upcoming days to bring high temperatures, isolated rains in Moldova

Chisinau, 09 June /MOLDPRES/ – The meteorologists forecast temperatures of almost 30ºC and heavy rainfall, mostly in southern part of Moldova, in upcoming days.
According to SHS’s information and media communication service, this week end and start of upcoming one will be characterised by thermal peaks of 28ºC – 30ºC during the day, and 16ºC – 18ºC at night throughout Moldova. The scorching will also trend within week first half, thermometer reaching up to 33ºC.
The weather forecasts are encouraging for farmers, waiting for rain because drought affects practically all sectors of agrarian field. Thus, it is expected electric discharge in all regions of Moldova, especially in south. "For central and northern areas, rain is forecast on Monday and Wednesday, while rainfall is reported in south every day from Sunday to Thursday," says SHS.
Meantime, rains are only included into forecasts, which led the State Hydrometeorological Service to extend the Yellow Code of exceptional bonfire hazard by 13 June, and maintain the Yellow Code of hydrological drought until 11 June.
According to meteorologists, until 13 June, there will be an exceptional bonfire hazard of level V, of a natural character, and a fire threat of forest strips and agricultural crops throughout Moldova. Also, due to lack of rain, the Yellow Code of hydrological drought remains in force. In this context, the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MADRM) called on population and especially economic agents to consume water resources rationally.
