Moldovan parliament makes amendments to state social insurance budget act 2018

Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/ – The revenues and expenditures of the state social insurance budget for 2018 will be increased by MDL 26.5 million and will amount to MDL 19,339 million.
As a result of amendments, expenses for social benefits increased by MDL 26.2 million and will amount to MDL 18,979.5 million.
The expenditures for activities financed from general resources of state social insurance budget will increase by MDL 81 million, amounting to MDL 14,024.7 million. The expenditures for activities financed from transfers from state budget will decrease by MDL 54.5 million.
For social protection of elderly people, expenses will increase by MDL 60 million. The money will be used for indexing and valorising pensions.
As regards to social protection of disabled people, expenditures will increase by MDL 17.9 million, estimated number of beneficiaries being 129 thousand.
The basic fund for payment of current medical services will be directed to MDL 64,300 thousand and MDL 10,000 thousand to the fund for development and modernisation of public service providers. It will be allocated an amount of MDL 12 million for prevention and treatment of tuberculosis.
The pre – hospital emergency medical assistance and high – performance medical services will benefit of MDL 5 million to cover costs of initiating the Programme for initiation of treatment of viral hepatitis B, C, D and liver cirrhosis at children.
