Agenda of cultural events in Moldova for current week

Chisinau, 18 June /MOLDPRES/ – There are presented five performances at National Theatre Mihai Eminescu (NTME) on 18 – 24 June.
On Wednesday, 20 June, at 18:30, the NTME presents performance "Maria Tanase: As muri, moartea nu – mi vine…" (Maria Tanase: I should like to die, death does not come to me...) – a recital about artistic life of the one which was and has always remained a remarkable voice – Maria Tanase.
On Thursday, 22 June, at 18:00, theatre performance is played "Balamucul vesel" (Merry madhouse) by S. T. Burke. According to organisers, somewhere in a century – old fortress in the way of evils, strange and apparently meaningless things happen: life seemed gray, hangover, most of inhabitants reconciled themselves to such a state of affairs. And then head of constant rebel, surrounded by noisy scales of councilors and guardians, makes him think that in order to gain more love for masses, there is a need for mystery, a sacrificial hero ...
Friday, at 15:00 and 18:00, audience is expected to see performance: "Hronicul Gainarilor" (The Chronicles of pilferings) by Aureliu Busuioc.
Saturday, at 18:00, there is shown performance "Tache, Ianche and Cadar" by Victor Ion Popa. It brings back one of the classic pieces in Romanian dramaturgy, in which the actor has chance to discover, to compete with himself. A show of irresistible humour about three elders always put on scouts, two young lovers, a lot of slums of slum in all their splendour, but also about tolerance, friendship and compassion.
On Sunday, at 18:00, the stage of the NTME plays performance "Krum" by Hanoch Levin. It is about a 38 – year – old youth, which went abroad, then returned home, desperately trying to make his living, dreaming even to write a novel, but failed. It is a show about youngsters and for them.
