Palanca customs checkpoint to temporarily stop operating

Chisinau, 19 June /MOLDPRES/- Palanca customs checkpoint will cease operations on 21 June at 17:00 - 22 June at 17:00, in connection with the new crossing point connection to utilities.

According to the Customs Service, during interruption of the activity, the crossing point will be connected to the electricity and gas supply networks. For this reason, the employees ask cross-border traffic participants to opt for the nearby Tudora customs post.

The commissioning of the new joint control point "Palanca" is scheduled for this December. The project budget amounts to 5.56 million euros, of which 4.5 million are granted by the European Union, and 1.06 million euros - by the government of the Republic of Moldova.
