Number of applications for issuance of passports increases, Moldova's Public Services Agency says

Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ - The number of applications for the issuance of passports has increased significantly starting from last May. Daily, the territorial subdivisions of the Public Services Agency (ASP) receive about 3,150 applications, by 1,000 more than earlier.

According to ASP data, most applications are in the Moldovan capital. To avoid queues, the schedule of work of some offices has been extended.

A schedule of work of six working days has been set for the services for issuances of acts Botanica and Rascani from Chisinau and the schedule of the central office was extended by one hour.

Also, a continuous process of providing services is ensured at all services of issuing identity papers, with the dinner break organized without interrupting the work.

Applicants may submit their applications for the issuance of identity papers at any ASP territorial subdivision, no matter the place of registration at home or residence.

Statistics shows that more than 203,400 passports have been released since early 2018.
