State employees to get compensation for housing purchase within programme First Home in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ – The Government has approved today Regulation on way of granting from state budget of compensations for public sector employees participating within state programme First Home. The compensations of state budget will stand for employees of public authorities/public institutions financed entirely from budget, doctors and employees of state higher education institutions with financial autonomy.

According to project, housing cost for which compensation can be granted should not exceed MDL 600,000. The loan will be granted for a maximum period of 25 years. The state will pay half of taken loan for purchase of dwelling and beneficiaries will have to pay the other half and interest. For 2018, volume of allowances provided for it amounts MDL 20 million, included in state budget for 2018. This amount will be adjusted yearly according to requests from public authorities and resources available in budget, states the Ministry of Finance (MF).

Anyone who has worked for at least one cumulative year within public authorities/institutions without interruption can become a claimant.

At present, Programme First Home is in force, which can be applied by citizens up to 45 years of age, officially employed and not having other mortgage loans. The law provides the need for initial participation in the Programme of at least 10 per cent of purchase price of dwelling, remaining mortgage loan, together with related payments, to be paid within a period of maximum 25 years.
