Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, showed perplexity about the decision by the Chisinau Court on invalidating the mandate of mayor of Andrei Nastase. According to Filip, this ruling raises more questions, speculations appear, which are to the disadvantage of the governance.
„I also try to understand to whose advantage this decision really is, as we, as governance, have only to lose from this. It is strange that these things are happening in a moment when more achievements were prefigured and more important decisions for our country were expected,” Pavel Filip said. “I hope that things will be cleared up as soon as possible and the public opinion benefits from correct information on this subject,” Filip also said.
The Chisinau Court on 19 June declared null the elections for the mandate of the Chisinau mayor, after it had considered more contestations by the Party of Socialists (PSRM) against elected mayor Andrei Nastase.
