Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ - The employees of the public service will benefit from facilities in purchasing dwelling within the First Home programme. The state will compensate to them 50 per cent of the mortgage loan taken for buying the dwelling. To this end, the cabinet today approved a regulation on the way of providing compensations within the First Home state programme. This project was called First Home 2, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Employees of the public authorities and institutions fully financed from the national public budget, public medical institutions and the state higher education institutions with financial autonomy, who have worked in the public sector for at least one year, will be able to benefit from compensations.
The cost of the dwelling will not exceed 600,000 lei. The total sum of the compensation will be provided monthly, beginning with the approval of the application on financing till the completion of the period of reimbursement of the mortgage loan. In the case of the loan’s anticipated payment, the providing of compensation will be ceased when the beneficiary pays the last rate.
The compensation will be provided as long as the beneficiary remains a budgetary employee. By this measure, the government wants to motivate young employees to remain in the public service. “We give to young people who work in public sector possibility to be able to buy a dwelling in more convenient conditions, through the compensation of 50 per cent of the cost of this dwelling,” Pavel Filip said.
The registration of applications on the providing of compensations will be made through an online register, available on the webpage www.primacasa.gov.md.
Twenty million lei is envisaged in the budget for 2018 to provide compensations within the First Home 2 programme.
So far, 146 people have benefited from the First Home programme, with the sum of guarantees exceeding 35 million lei.
