Moldova premier's declaration on invalidation of elections in Chisinau in beginning of cabinet meeting

Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today referred to the invalidation of the elections in the Chisinau municipality. The PM said that, as a result of this ruling, which upset the public opinion, speculations aimed against the governance appeared, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

„To whose advantage this decision really is? We, as governance, only lose from this situation. All these happen in a moment when more achievements were prefigured, both inside the country and on the external stage. I mean both the political dimension, important decisions which are to be taken on the next days internationally, and the financial dimension,” the prime minister said.

Pavel Filip specified that, although he cannot assess a court ruling, he wanted clarity to be made in this situation as soon as possible and the public opinion benefits from full and transparent information on this subject.
