Moldovan PM meets Gazprom company deputy head

Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/- Ensuring the internal gas market, their transit, the reorganization of Moldovagaz company according to European practices, as well as the prospects for the development of the cooperation between Moldova and Gazprom were the main topics for discussion at today's meeting between Prime Minister Pavel Filip and the deputy head of Gazprom company, Valeri Golubev, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The officials noted that Moldova is currently provided with gas and performs on time and in full the gas payments. Thus, for gas delivered in 2016, 200.6 million dollars were paid, and in 2017 - 167.5 million dollars. Due to the favorable circumstances set on the domestic market, Moldova has managed to pay some of the historical debts.
The sides also discussed the reorganization of Moldovagaz company and its internal gas distribution and supply structures in the context of the institutional reform required by the provisions of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement and the energy package 3, and the national legislation national legislation in the field, which provides for the division of gas transportation, distribution and supply.
Moldova has received rigorous assurances that the domestic market will have the necessary volume of gas in 2019 and their transit will be carried out in the same way.
The officials also referred to the prospects for the development of the cooperation, adding that in 2019 Moldovagaz compnay will have 20 years of activity.
